Dr. Edwin Lyman of the Union of Concerned Scientists took exception to plans the TVA has to burn weapons grade plutonium in its civilian power reactors. Lyman’s views come as customers for a $5 billion Department of Energy Plant disappeared and the DOE began to push the TVA to take the controversial fuel.
