The $926 million award to thousands of Colorado residents, awarded in a lawsuit involving plutonium contamination from a nuclear weapons plant, was thrown out Friday by a federal appeals court.
The three-judge panel also threw out the jury verdict and ruled that homeowners failed to prove damages suffered from plutonium that blew onto their properties from the Rocky Flats facility.
