Congressman Maurice Hinchey (D-NY) came out strongly for regulating chemicals used in a natural gas extraction process called hydraulic fracturing. In DCBureau.org’s interview with Hinchey, he said he was surprised to learn his wife lobbied on behalf of a landmen association that secured gas leases from New York residents.
