Surge in Afghanistan is Not Working
Despite sending additional troops and spending billions of more dollars, recent efforts to remove the Taliban from their strongholds in Afghanistan are not working. There have been tactical successes, but the overall trend in the war is not improving. The Taliban is resilient and believes it can outlast the Americans.
