DC Bureau's series, Nestlé: Draining America Bottle by Bottle, reports on Nestlé’s bottled water operations in the United States and the tensions between Nestlé and communities fighting to keep Nestlé out of their springs. Our four part series shows how Nestlé approaches small, rural communities and takes control of what is often their only resource, despite objections from community residents. When residents protest and fight back to keep Nestlé from taking their water, legal fights ensue and these small communities become involved in massive fights against the corporate giant that controls a third of bottled water in the United States.
